Frankly, I was interested in overcoming anxiety, depression, and anger. But this book has more to do with family dynamics than those issues. So, I read a bit, found it was not what I wanted and stopped reading.

This book offers concrete coping skills to lead a more mindful, balanced life. Judith Fowles articulates the common stresses and conflict points in family relationships that spouses and parents face on a daily basis. I have found myself applying many of her memorable mantras, in my day-to-day interactions.
As the new year approaches, I strongly recommend this thoughtful book to anyone who is looking to lead a more authentic and less reactive life.

An excellent book for everyone to read. It's short and gets right to the point. The author presents coping skills to help you become more self focused rather than reactive to people or situations. There are communication skills to help you communicate better with your family and friends. Personality types are addressed as well. I think anyone who reads this book will come away with something positive.

This book is amazing and have to say I absolutely love it! In reading it, I learned so much about myself in the process. I will be putting the techniques I learned to good use in hopes to make myself a better person. If you haven't read this book yet, I would highly recommend it!

I wish I would of had this book earlier in life. This is a guide on self focus throughout your life span. Judith has put down to earth examples that are easy to relate to. I love the short divided chapters for easy reference. I will be using the demonstrated coping skills for a personal reminder as well as professionally.

The style makes it exceptionally helpful and accessible to people of all demographics and backgrounds. There is truly something for everyone in this book, and the presentation of the material keeps the reader engaged throughout. I felt fully prepared and inspired to improve my life and my relationships with others after reading it. I highly recommend this book!
